Hi. At our one year visit, the doctor set up a lab visit to have a lead screening and a hemoglobin count taken. It involved a simple finger prick and my darling little girl was such a trooper through it. We got a call yesterday that her hemoglobin is at 14 and 13.5 is the high mark so now my pedi wants us to come in for some more lab work. I asked what could be the cause of high hemoglobin and was told that the blood work hopefully would explain it.

I am looking for any parents that have gone through something similar. Should I be as stressed out as I am? Any ideas on what could be causing this?
