I have a 22 month old daughter who constantly misbehaves for me. I am currently doing time-outs but it has stopped having an effect. Here is a list of what she does:

    hits,
    bites,
    throws her toys,
    kicks,
bangs the doors on my kitchen cupboards.

Can anyone help? I am currently pregnant with my second baby and need to get this under control.

Can anyone help? I am at my wits end.

I am very sorry to hear that. As your daughter is approaching the 'terrible twos' I am wondering whether there are some other factors that combining to make her behave like that?

I had a couple of friends who both had similar experiences with their toddlers. One of the mums worked and her son was angry with her and the other was a stay at home mum whose daughter was angry with her. Through many discussions we realized that there was many aspects as to why these kids were behaving like that. I'd like to try and offer some suggestions but in order to be more helpful could provide some more information about your situation... I'd be very interested to know the following...

  • Do you work?
  • Do you have any help?
  • How are your daughters communicative skills?
  • Are other family members 'spoiling her' always saying yes ?
