I am very tired, leaking white milk, having contractions off and on, having a lot of pelvic pain and presssure, I feel my baby has dropped into my pelvic region, having a lot of white vaginal discharge over the last week, and my skin is burning really bad under my breast like it cannot stretch anymore. Does that mean I am going into labor soon?

As I gave birth with a C-Section I have not experienced any of the symptoms that you mention. I would advise that you contact your midwife or Dr who has been responsible for monitoring you during your pregnancy so far. Make a note of the times and frequencies of your symptoms so that you can provide them with the information.

Good luck!

Everyone is a little different when it comes time for actual labor, but for both my pregnancies there were 3 conditions that the doctor said I needed to come in for:

  1. Contractions that were 5 - 7 minutes apart.
  2. Bloody show in my panties or in the toilet
  3. If my water broke

With my first, she dropped 2 weeks before she was born and I was really uncertain how to tell if I was in early labor. Nature solved that concern for me by having my water break one morning. I knew what it was because when I got to the toilet it had a pinkish tinge to it and did not smell of urine.

With my second, I had contractions ranging from 30 - 60 minutes apart all day. I went to bed that night thinking that I would be induced at 5 the next morning. I woke up at 11 pm with contractions that were about 15 minutes apart and I saw some blood when I wiped after using the toilet. By the time we got ourselves dressed and to the hospital the contractions were 5 minutes apart when I was sitting/resting and about 2 minutes apart if I was walking or standing.

At your next appointment your doctor will probably go over her conditions for you to head in, but if she forgets make sure you ask.
