My daughter lives with us and has a 4.5 month old baby girl. She had colic for months 2 and 3 but finally started subsided. Now suddenly she started crying all day, never content for very long. It's not colic, i don't think it's spoiled.. . because she doesn't stop crying when we pick her up and play with her. She gets all the attention she could want, lots of toys to play with, mom puts her in the carrier, grandparents are attention. We also make sure she is not too stimulated. Very loving environment. My daughter is at her end.... Crying. . . this may be my only grandchild :) if we can't find out what's wrong soon. Any ideas?

Have you investigated possible allergies? I know of a few parents who had infants that would not settle, appeared to be in pain all the time, and it turned out the babies were lactose intolerant, or allergic to milk. Removing dairy from Mom's diet or lactose free formula did the trick.
