We've all done it, but what's the funniest thing you've taught your child by accident?

Around 8 months old, my son slapped his forehead when he dropped his milk; Homer Simpson 'Doh!' style. I clapped and fell about laughing at his comic timing.

Problem was from that point on he associated approval and laughing with slapping his forehead repeatedly, whether is was me, family or complete strangers cooing over him.

Took a good 3 months to train it back out of him!

Of course it's mortifying later trying to make them stop, but it's unfortunately hysterical to me the 1st time a kid drops a really good swear word. I don't want it to be funny, but I can't help it. It tickles me.

I found it disturbing when a 5 year old in the day care where I was working cussed me out for putting him in time out.

This might not be the funniest thing we have taught our son but we have been using M&Ms for a potty time reinforcer so now that every time my husband and I got to the bathroom my son says "Mommy/Daddy potty M&Ms"!

My husband taught our daughter the "Om bow bow, chicka chick ah" from the end of Ferris Bueller. But I'm not certain it was unintentional.

We taught our two year old to answer, "what does a duck say?" with a loud "AFLACK!" Which was quite funny until he was in a play group at the YMCA and the teacher asked the same question. That was a little embarrassing. I suppose that was more intentional than inadvertent.

My husband, while changing a diaper on our then 14 month old, referred to my son's genitals as his "junk". It stuck. He is now 2.5, and the other day said "that wasp just almost bit my junk!"

I am not so sure how inadvertant it was.
