In the midst of making the switch to Enfamil Nutramigen for our 3 month old. I hate to waste the opened Good Start we have already. Is it ok to mix the two, say 50/50 per bottle?

I would think it would more ok then just changing the formula that way your babies stomach has less of a harsh change. start 50/50 then change the ratio to make sure the child like the new formula.

Yeah that was my thought too. Wondered if the mixing would taste funny to my daughter and she'd reject it. After 3 bottles of 50/50 she seems fine with it. Thanks.

I would agree that it shouldn't be a problem to mix formulas. I'm sure we did that when my daughter was transitioning between two types of formula. We also had to combine breastmilk with formula often, as was recommended by the public health nurses when I had issues with my supply.

I found a reference to combining formulas.
