How many molars do kids get?

Anyone know how many molars kids get with their baby teeth? My daughter is in agony today as she is sprouting 2 at the same time. Just wondered how much more fun I have to look forward to.

I was just at the dentist today and asked this same question. The hygienist said that babies will get two sets of molars for a total of 8 (in total they will have 20 baby teeth). One set of molars usually comes between one and two years and the other set between two and three years.

I can relate, our daughter has recently cut three of her first set of molars and she has not been very happy about it to say the least.

I just edited to clarify. There are 4 molars per set, one in each quadrant of the mouth.
