To mamma hubba: Do you have facebook or pictures online somewhere? Take a picture that is posted online and right click to see the properties then copy and paste the url into the picture link in your answer. :)

I had lots of fun making these cakes for my son's 1st birthday.

Cakes I made for my son's 1st birthday

Here he is eating his monkey cake....the giraffe was for everyone else. :) I was expecting him to touch it, instead he leaned over for a big bite!

@Sabrina What a smart little fellow he is....the cakes look so yummy it's no wonder he went straight for it :) (the cakes deserve +10 at least :)

@Sabrina That is a great shot! My little guy's bday is coming up and I can't wait to see how he reacts to his cake. :)

@ cat-g. I know, it was pretty funny, in contrast for my daughter's 1st birthday, she touched her cake & burst into tears because she didn't like the sticky feeling on her hands...maybe I'll post it too since it's funny.

Not to monopolize the answers on this question, but here's a Cinderella cake I made for my daughter's 3rd birthday yesterday.

Here's a peek into the cake at which point in time my daughter said "Mommy you are ruining it!!"

+1 Sabrina, my Mom made me cakes like that for years when I was a little girl! I love the look on your wee girls face!

Wow that's amazing. I wish I had that talent.

My grandma used to make them for me when I was little. :) It looks more complicated that it actually was, I think it took me like 15 minutes to ice it.

Here's my daughter's 1st birthday cake that I made.

You just never know what's going to happen when you show a 1 yr old a cake. My daughter did not like the feeling of the icing and refused to eat any and even cried! Ah well. She LOVES cake now and is very excited for her 3rd birthday this month. :)

@Pandiya Chendur Thank you, it was my first attempt at decorating a cake so admittedly I had a lot of help from a good friend.
