My 6 month old is in daycare and has a rash on his neck. I'm assuming it is from being in constant contact with his drool due to teething or from formula dripping down onto his neck.

Any recommendations on how to treat and/ or avoid this?

I rinse his neck in the morning and apply lotion and aquaphor (petrolium product) to form a barrier, but it does not last throughout the day.

My daughter also experienced the occasional rash from drool while teething when she was younger. Someone at one of our baby groups suggested using diaper rash cream. I tried Penaten and it worked great.

+1 for diaper rash cream. They are little miracle pots and we always make sure we have a pot at home for any minor skin allergies ailments or play ground injuries!

I had the same problem and also used Penaten - worked very well.
