My daughter spit up on her glider and I wanted to get some advice from anyone who was able to clean a similar product. The main website says that it has to be professionally cleaned but I figured that there might be an alternative.

There are some references to stain removers in this question which might be helpful to you:

As Scott says in the comments, you might find a stain remover like Gonzo works well to remove dried in stains.

If you can treat the area before it dries you should be able to clean it up by blotting with a dry kitchen towel to absorb most of the spill and any solids (don't wipe or scrub, just blot). Once blotted get a moistened cloth and dip it in bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), then blot some more until it has all been picked up.
