My son is 18 months old and for the past 3 months whenever he gets excited ( fave tv show comes on, or he hears a song that he really likes) he holds out his arms, and shakes his hands and does a funny thing with his mouth. Just wondering if this is just a quirk that he will out grow or is it something more serious. Thanks Kelly

Last night my 18 month old started to do a little victory dance or something after he "surprised us" coming out from hiding. He would turn all the way around with his hands in the air. I wonder if that's the same thing.

Our daughter who is two can also be pretty quirky when she's excited. Now that she has a lot more motor control it looks more like running or dancing around but when she was closer to your son's age it looked more like shaking limbs.

If you're concerned you can ask your pediatrician about it.
