My kids always have other symptoms with a fever (ear ache, sore throat etc...)

But now my daughter (3yrs) has a fever (around 101 degrees) and no other symptoms.

Should I be worried or grateful. (Meaning is there more that I need to be figuring out or is it just a minor infection?)

She seems ok except that she is a bit more whiny that usual.

Our daughter had this last week. I being worried called my family Dr. who took a look at her. He said it was likely a minor infection/virus and there was nothing to be done except tylenol/advil for the fever and plenty of fluids and rest. The fever lasted for about 24 hours then went away. She ended up having a cold as do the rest of us in the house; however, there's no way to know if they were related as nobody else had a fever associated with their cold.

Something else to watch out for: urine tract infections/cystitis. Our daughter had one last year and apparently it didn't hurt, so it took a long time to work out what the problem was.
